Overview

Prior to attending law school, Annie earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Human Resources from NAIT, where she distinguished herself by earning a place on the Dean’s Honour Roll. Alongside her academic pursuits, Annie gained valuable experience in various human resources roles, developing her expertise as a skilled negotiator and dedicated client advocate.

Annie’s academic achievements have been recognized through multiple prestigious awards, including the Amy and Yuen Wong Scholarship, the Honourable Lucien Dubuc Memorial Scholarship, and the Jason Lang Scholarship. Displaying her leadership qualities, Annie served as the President of the French Speaking Law Students Association at the University of Alberta, spearheading initiatives to promote the use of the French language within the legal community. Her dedication to oral and written advocacy was evident as she secured second place in the 2021 Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin Moot, and claimed first place in the 2021 Jim Brimacombe Moot. Furthermore, at the 2022 Gale Cup Moot, Annie and her partner’s factum achieved second place, contributing to their team’s overall fourth-place finish. In 2023, Annie’s team earned an impressive third-place finish at the Wilson Moot. Beyond her participation in competitive moots, Annie also actively mentored and coached several students as they pursued their own moot competitions.

In her spare time, Annie enjoys cooking, making cocktails, bird-watching, gardening, and playing various sports.
