Kirk Emery is National Co-Lead of Miller Thomson’s Technology group and its Data Centres & Digital Infrastructure group, and a Key Contact for its Defence, Security & Aerospace group.
He advises on complex M&A, private equity, corporate finance and venture capital matters, as well as other significant corporate and commercial matters. He counsels publicly traded and privately held companies, private equity sponsors and venture capital firms across a range of industries, with particular depth in technology-intensive sectors and infrastructure, including AI, SaaS, data centres, defence and aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and other innovative areas.
Kirk regularly advises on Canada-U.S., Canada-Europe and other cross-border matters and is admitted in Ontario and New York.
Before returning to private practice, he served as a senior legal and business executive of a technology unicorn. He has been repeatedly recommended by The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a leading Canadian lawyer in mergers and acquisitions.
