Biography description
Abby Sasitharan is building a broad business law practice with a focus on corporate law, securities, and mergers and acquisitions. She has supported a range of public and private transactions, including private placements, corporate governance matters and both buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions.
Abby was called to the Ontario Bar in 2026 after completing her summer and articling terms at Miller Thomson.
Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Abby assisted startups in the clean energy space with legal and regulatory matters through the Entrepreneurship Hatchery. She also contributed to public-domain legal frameworks supporting open-access drug discovery through an externship with the Structural Genomics Consortium.
During law school, Abby served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Ultra Vires—the Faculty’s independent student newspaper, Co-Chair of the South Asian Law Students’ Association, and was a member of the law school’s Admissions Committee.
