Biography description
Matthew acts for debtors, creditors, and purchasers in CCAA and BIA proceedings and in out-of-court restructurings. Matthew advises in distressed M&A and liability management exercises. Matthew provides strategic advice to companies seeking to restructure, and to purchasers seeking strategic acquisitions via distressed transactions. Matthew also has experience in domestic and cross-border restructurings and acquisitions. Matthew provides advice and counsel on both the transactional and litigation aspects of distressed transactions and restructurings. Matthew is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
