Biography description
Kirk Emery is the national co-lead of the Technology practice group at Miller Thomson. Kirk advises clients on M&A, corporate finance, governance, and other significant corporate and commercial matters in Canada and abroad. He counsels publicly traded and privately held companies in diverse industries, particularly those involving technology and other innovative areas, and private equity sponsors and venture capital firms.
Kirk uses his deep understanding of his clients and their industries to relentlessly promote their interests. He is a frequent public speaker and writer on topics including technology, innovation, and law. He is on the advisory board of an artificial intelligence software company in the US and was Executive Vice-President of Legal at a technology unicorn.
