Octavia Diaconu

Biography description

Octavia Diaconu is an associate in the Financial Services Group in our Toronto office. Her practice focuses on a wide range of lending transactions, including bilateral and syndicated credit facilities, domestic and cross-border financings, and multi-facility and multi-currency structures.

Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Octavia worked at a large national business law firm, where she acted for lenders on a broad range of financing matters. Her background spans both private practice and other regulatory, risk-focused environments, including roles with major institutions, giving her a practical understanding of compliance, operational realities, and business processes that she integrates into her transactional work.

Octavia has also contributed to international anti-cyber-sex trafficking initiatives through pro bono legislative and policy work.
