Biography description

Zachary Masoud focuses on all aspects of domestic, cross-border, and multi-jurisdictional banking, as well as secured and unsecured lending transactions. Zachary regularly advises Canadian and foreign banks, private equity firms, and domestic and international corporations on acquisition financings, project finance, mining finance, syndicated and bilateral financings, and mezzanine financings. With extensive experience in structuring and negotiating complex financing arrangements, Zachary provides practical, business-oriented advice that helps clients navigate evolving market conditions and regulatory frameworks.

Zachary is a frequent panelist and speaker at industry events, including educational seminars for banks and the Financing and Security Strategic Day conference in Montreal. He also serves as editor of the firm’s Canadian Energy Perspectives blog and contributes to the firm’s Canadian Power annual publication.

Before joining the firm, he gained financial services experience as a Senior Credit Underwriter with HSBC in Montreal and as a legal intern at Consilium Law Corporation in Singapore, an international boutique law firm specializing in corporate law.
