Yann-Julien Chouinard is renowned for his expertise in construction and infrastructure law. He specializes in representing Canadian and foreign businesses involved in major construction projects in Québec.

He advises clients at every stage of these projects, from drafting and negotiating contracts to providing legal counsel on project execution and resolving complex disputes. What sets his approach apart is his deep understanding of the construction industry’s unique challenges and a commitment to delivering rigorous, tailored legal solutions.

Yann‑Julien is regularly sought out as an instructor and speaker on topics related to the construction industry. He has also authored several articles on delay claims and requests for proposals, among other topics.

Called to the Barreau du Québec in 2016, he has since been recognized for his expertise in construction law by the Lexpert directory (2026) and by Best Lawyers (since 2025). In addition, Yann-Julien is actively involved in the industry and has served as a member of both the CBA National Construction and Infrastructure Law Section and the organizing committee of the Grand Forum du Conseil des Infrastructures.
