Biography description
Vitor is a commercial litigator who advises clients on complex disputes involving commercial agreements, construction and energy projects, insurance, Indigenous law, and labour and employment matters. He takes a practical and strategic approach to each mandate, helping clients assess risk, understand their options and pursue outcomes aligned with their broader business objectives. Vitor combines careful legal analysis with clear advice and focused advocacy, guiding clients through each stage of the dispute-resolution process.
Before joining Miller Thomson, Vitor practiced at an international law firm, gaining experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration. A member of the Law Society of Alberta, he has appeared before Alberta courts and contributed to proceedings in other Canadian jurisdictions and before the International Chamber of Commerce.
Vitor has supported access to justice through volunteer work with Calgary Legal Guidance. Earlier in his legal training, he also participated in student advocacy initiatives, assisting individuals navigating academic and disciplinary matters.
