Biography description

Evon Gayle provides practical and solution-oriented advice to public and private sector employers on a broad range of human resources and workplace issues including human rights and accommodations, employment contracts and policies, disciplinary actions and terminations, wrongful dismissal, workers’ compensation, employment standards claims, and grievance arbitrations. Evon regularly defends complaints in legal proceedings before human rights tribunals, courts, labour boards, workers’ compensation tribunals and arbitrators.

Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Evon completed a secondment with the largest school board in Canada and practiced at a boutique labour and employment law firm.

Evon is a member of various legal associations and formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Bar Association. He currently serves as a Trustee for the OBA Foundation, the charitable arm of the Ontario Bar Association.
