Biography description

Don MacKinnon maintains a broad commercial real estate practice with a focus on acquisitions and sales of real estate, leasing, development, and financing. He advises developers on a range of projects, including single subdivisions, low-rise condominiums, townhouse developments, and high-rise projects. He also represents purchasers and vendors in connection with the purchase and sale of businesses. Drawing on his background in construction, Don understands the practical and commercial challenges clients face and works closely with them to develop solutions that reduce risk and support their business objectives.

Before practicing law, Don co-owned and operated a construction company where he managed trades and oversaw home revitalization projects from the ground up. This experience gives him valuable insight into the development process and the considerations involved in building successful projects.

He values the collaboration involved in development projects and the positive impact they can have on communities, recognizing the importance of strong partnerships in bringing ideas to life.
