Biography description
Patrick Corney is a Partner in the Restructuring & Insolvency group at Miller Thomson. He advises on restructuring strategy and commercial disputes, and has worked on some of the most complex restructurings and related litigation in Canada, often involving cross-border considerations. His clients include senior creditors, court officers, debtor companies, and regulators. Pat has acted on restructuring and litigation mandates in a variety of sectors including steel, consumer staples, real estate, technology, retail, cannabis, and energy.
Pat has been published in the Journal of the Insolvency Institute of Canada, the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Review, and the Commercial Insolvency Reporter. Recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada (Insolvency and Financial Restructuring Law), he also serves as Chair of The Advocates’ Society Insolvency Litigation Practice Group.
