On January 23, 2024, Kingswood Capital acquired Gengroup Inc., a Canadian material and manufacturing company operating in Scarborough, Ontario for the last 30 years.

Under the deal, Kingswood Capital purchased substantially all of the operating assets of Gengroup Inc. as well as their real property.

Kingswood Capital is an investment firm focusing on family-owned manufacturing, fabrication and service businesses.

Miller Thomson advised Kingswood Capital with a team led by Myron Mallia- Dare (M&A) and comprised of Andrew Gunpat (M&A), Amanda Plastina and Safa Bajwa (Finanical Services); Oxana Mysyk  (Real Estate) and Greg Bush (Labour & Employment).
