During her time at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, Juliana distinguished herself through her sustained commitment to the student body. Whether as a student-athlete, a mentor, or a member of various student associations, she played an active role in student life. She recently completed her terms as President of the University of Ottawa Business Law Society and Vice-President of the University of Ottawa Association des Étudiants Anglophones en Droit Civil. In these roles, she oversaw the organization of academic and networking events, led leadership teams, and built partnerships with key members of the legal community.

Before joining Miller Thomson, Juliana honed her skills in legal translation, particularly in translating common law documents from English into French. This work requires a sophisticated understanding of bijural systems, as well as a high degree of terminological precision. In addition, her experience in commercial real estate law familiarized her with transactional workflows, including reviewing leases, conducting due diligence, and addressing legal challenges.

Furthermore, her participation in simulated international negotiations in New York and Paris further strengthened her advocacy, diplomacy, and strategic thinking skills in complex situations. Finally, her experience working with a judge of the Court of Québec provided her with valuable insight into decision-making reasoning and legal drafting. These experiences have allowed her to develop skills that she will leverage throughout her career. Versatile and engaged, Juliana stands out for her holistic and pragmatic approach to law.
