Biography description
Patrick Corney is a Partner in Miller Thomson’s Restructuring & Insolvency group. He advises institutional lenders, receivers, and other stakeholders on debt restructuring, creditors’ rights, and insolvency litigation. His practice combines sophisticated legal analysis with a practical understanding of the commercial, financial, and strategic considerations that drive outcomes in distressed situations.
Patrick frequently appears as lead counsel before the Toronto Commercial List and other Superior Courts in Ontario.
He is a former Chair of The Advocates’ Society insolvency litigation practice group and is a frequent speaker on debt restructuring and insolvency litigation matters.
Patrick is consistently recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for Insolvency and Financial Restructuring Law.
