Overview
Patrick Corney is a Partner in the Restructuring & Insolvency group at Miller Thomson LLP. Pat's practice focuses on restructuring and insolvency litigation and he appears as lead counsel before the Ontario Superior Court (Commercial List) in proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. He is recognized by his clients for clear and concise advocacy and commitment to success.
Pat has been published in the Journal of the Insolvency Institute of Canada, the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Review, and the Commercial Insolvency Reporter.
Pat began his legal career as a summer student at another national law firm and practiced there for six years. Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Pat was a partner at a Toronto-based restructuring and litigation boutique.
