On October 28, 2020, Madrid-based Ebro Group (“Ebro Foods”) announced its agreement to sell its ‘Catelli’ dry pasta business in Canada to the Barilla Group, an Italian food product company, for CA $165 million. The sale was conducted through its indirectly owned Canadian subsidiary Catelli Foods Corporation (“Catelli Foods”), and comprises the Catelli®, Lancia® and Splendor® brands as well as a plant facility in Montreal, Quebec.
