Vanessa Giliberti

Biography description

Vanessa Rosa Giliberti is a law student at McGill University, where she is pursuing a joint degree in civil and common law (B.C.L./J.D.). Prior to law school, Vanessa’s passion for the law was shown through her published article entitled “The Production of Legality in our Everyday Lives: Forming Legal Consciousness Through Legal Culture”.

In her previous roles at the Government of Canada, Vanessa’s anticipatory thinking and strong problem-solving skills led her to develop her team’s first privacy policy. During her time at the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, she also contributed in providing recommendations on legislative amendments within Canada’s bankruptcy and insolvency framework.

Committed to combining legal rigor with strong business acumen, Vanessa is particularly interested in corporate law and shaping the business landscape. 

Outside the legal sphere, Vanessa enjoys travelling, staying active through volleyball, soccer, and kickboxing, as well as watching the Montreal Canadiens.
