Sean Kimak

Biography description

Sean holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary, where he focused his elective coursework on corporate law topics. In his final year, he participated in the Business Venture Clinic, providing pro bono legal information to start-up companies, and was named to the Dean’s List.

During law school, Sean’s writing was selected for publication in a peer-reviewed law journal, and he was later invited to present his research as part of a panel at a national conference for restructuring and insolvency professionals.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Sean worked in the fields of architecture, planning, and real estate development. Between his second and third year of law school, he worked with the in-house legal team of a multinational real estate development company.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, as well as mountain biking and backcountry skiing.
