Biography description
Jayme Millar is an associate in Miller Thomson’s Business Law group, focusing on corporate, marketing and advertising, privacy, and intellectual property law. She offers practical, results-driven legal advice tailored to clients’ business needs. She works with companies of all sizes, providing general corporate and business advice on operational and transactional matters.
In the marketing, advertising, and product regulatory space, Jayme regularly advises clients on consumer protection, Canada’s anti-spam law, and product classification, labelling, and compliance. She has particular experience advising clients in the direct selling industry, including on the compliance aspects of operating in Canada. As part of Miller Thomson’s privacy team, she also advises clients on cybersecurity incidents, data breaches, and compliance with Canadian privacy laws. In addition, she assists clients with obtaining trademark and copyright protection, and advises on commercial technology agreements and intellectual property transactions.
Jayme received her Juris Doctor from Western University, Faculty of Law, with a concentration in Intellectual Property, Information and Technology Law in 2023, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2024. Prior to law school, she completed a bachelor’s Science degree with Honours in Chemistry with a minor in Psychology.
