Shahrzad Hamraz

Biography description

Shahrzad Hamraz has a broad range of experience advising lenders, debtors, and insolvency professionals on a wide variety of insolvency and restructuring matters. Her practice includes proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, and she has particular experience representing receivers and other court-appointed insolvency professionals throughout restructuring processes. She is comfortable handling both solicitor and advocacy matters.

Shahrzad is a natural problem solver, making her a practical, strategic, and client-focused lawyer. She takes care not to lose sight of the bigger picture and always keeps her clients’ end goals top of mind.

Prior to joining the firm, Shahrzad worked as an insolvency associate at a mid-sized firm in downtown Toronto. This experience provided her with exposure to a wide variety of files, clients, and complex legal matters.
