Biography description

Lara Jung is an associate in the Advocacy Group at Miller Thomson where she maintains a growing litigation practice with a focus on insurance defence, estate litigation, and complex civil disputes. Lara is a diligent and strategic advocate who approaches each file with a focus on achieving results through efficient, client-centered strategies that empower individuals and organizations to navigate legal challenges with confidence. She is committed to guiding clients through litigation as well as alternative methods of dispute resolution, including mediation.

Lara joined Miller Thomson as a summer student in 2023 and completed her articles with the firm in 2025. Throughout her articling year, she honed her advocacy skills by supporting senior counsel on a range of litigation matters, including appearances before the British Columbia Supreme Court and participation in mediations and other pre-trial processes.

Born and raised in Burnaby, Lara brings a strong sense of community and service to her practice. She has volunteered with organizations such as Big Sisters of BC, the Immigrant Services Society of BC, and Legal Aid BC. Her dedication to community engagement informs her approach to client advocacy—grounded, responsive, and tailored to the unique needs of each matter.
