Biography description
Shahbaaz is excited to be completing his articles at Miller Thomson. Shahbaaz obtained his law degree at Panjab University in India in 2017. He then worked as a lawyer for four years at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, focusing on dispute resolution and litigation. Prior to law school, Shahbaaz obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.
While practicing in India, Shahbaaz provided pro bono legal services to low-income clients and assisted individuals with civil and family law disputes. Shahbaaz was also actively involved in his family’s charitable initiatives, helping with the operations of a charitable elementary school in India.
Since moving to Canada and while completing the National Committee on Accreditation’s Certificate of Qualification, Shahbaaz has worked as a legal secretary at the Legal Services Branch of the Ministry of Attorney General of British Columbia and as a case manager at the Civil Resolution Tribunal.
Shahbaaz enjoys golfing, exploring specialty coffee, and learning about watches and cars.
