Overview

Pierce Quaghebeur, CPA, CA, is an active member of Miller Thomson’s Corporate Tax, Private Client and M&A groups. He works with other team members to ensure that clients’ corporate and personal tax planning, transaction, reorganization, and mergers and acquisition matters are handled effectively and efficiently.

Pierce’s practice includes:

  • Corporate tax law: Pierce assists with a variety or corporate tax law issues, including succession planning, implementing corporate reorganizations, and corporate restructuring for private corporations.
  • Mergers and acquisitions: Pierce acts for both purchasers and sellers in Canadian private corporation mergers and acquisition transactions.
  • Corporate/commercial law: Pierce assists with unanimous shareholder agreements, trademark applications, and general business law matters.

Pierce completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Course, in 2022. He also became a registered trademark agent in 2021.

Before joining Miller Thomson, Pierce articled and practiced at a local Edmonton firm where he worked closely with a wide range of clients to achieve their objectives. Prior to attending law school, Pierce worked with a national accounting firm in their audit and assurance group.
