Loosely based on the Dutton family in the hit show “Yellowstone”, each month we will delved into the estate planning issues and needs of family members as they transition to new life stages.
Part 2: Protecting Your Wealth – Options for Maximizing your Estate Planning Goals focused on the family patriarch of the well-off Dutton family, who is a widow with four adult children, one of whom is deceased and another adopted. He was considering further estate planning options, including trusts, that would best support his future goal of passing the family ranch to the next generation and protect his family’s interests in general.
