Kate Johnson

Biography description

Kate is excited to return to Miller Thomson as an articling student after joining the firm as a summer student in 2025.

Kate earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Victoria (UVic). During law school, Kate remained active in campus life, volunteering with Pro Bono Students Canada, serving as co-captain of the law school’s intramural basketball team, and playing on the intramural soccer team. During her first year of law school, Kate was a co-op student with the Small Claims Team at the Legal Services Branch of the Ministry of Attorney General.

Prior to law school, Kate earned a Bachelor of Arts (with High Distinction), majoring in Psychology at the University of British Columbia. During her undergrad, Kate played varsity basketball and achieved Academic All-Canadian status for her combined excellence in academics and athletics.

In her spare time, Kate enjoys going to the gym, spending time outdoors, and being with her friends and family.
