Charles Duech

Charles Duech is Senior Counsel at the Office of the General Counsel, where he contributes to risk management, internal compliance, and governance for the firm, drawing on extensive experience in privacy, cybersecurity, and governance gained across public and private sector organizations.

As a corporate lawyer specializing in technology law, he is known for his creative and rigorous approach, translating complex technology issues into clear, pragmatic solutions tailored to an organization’s needs.

Before joining the firm, Charles served as Data Protection Officer (DPO) for a major Canadian and American company, where he established a comprehensive privacy governance framework and oversaw technology-related matters.

He has also designed and delivered Bar-accredited training on privacy protection and AI governance.
