Amanda Stacey discusses “Complex 21-Year Deemed Disposition Planning” on September 15, 2025, at the Canadian Tax Foundation’s British Columbia Tax Conference.

Planning for the 21st anniversary of trusts has become considerably more complex, and this session will bring clarity to some challenging areas. Expert speakers will cover strategies to deal with situations such as managing (previously undisclosed) non-resident beneficiaries, trusts for disabled beneficiaries, trusts with assets such as commercial real estate, and trusts established by registered charities. Insight on the potential application of the notifiable transactions regime will also be provided.
