Biography description
Keona is a recent graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, having received her Juris Doctor in June 2025.
Prior to entering law school, Keona received a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in 2021.
At the University of Toronto, Keona was actively involved in her community, becoming a member of the International Human Rights Program’s working group on Women’s Human Rights Resources, as well as serving as an executive member of the Asia Law Society and Women & The Law. She was also enrolled as a student caseworker at Downtown Legal Services (DLS) working in the Family Law Division to represent low-income clients on child support and spousal support issues. At DLS, Keona honed her client-management and advocacy skills, as well as her abilities to conduct legal research and writing. She has appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice at both 47 Sheppard Avenue and 311 Jarvis Street. This past year, she studied abroad for a semester in Vienna, Austria to learn about international and European law.
During her free time, Keona enjoys supporting local cafes and restaurants, (watching and performing in) musical theatre, and spending time with her loved ones.
