Biography description

Marlee is a member of Miller Thomson’s Commercial Litigation group, in which she maintains a broad, developing practice. Marlee’s practice includes navigating complex issues arising from commercial and insurance law matters, as well as estate litigation and family law disputes.

Before completing her articles at the firm, Marlee articled to Justice Susan L. Bercov at the Alberta Court of King’s Bench and completed a summer placement with the in-house counsel team of a large Edmonton-based construction company. Marlee obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2024, recognized on the Dean’s List.

Prior to joining the firm, Marlee edited for the Alberta Law Review, chaired the Faculty of Law’s Mental Health and Wellness Committee, and was a Writing Fellow for the University of Alberta’s Legal Research and Writing course. Marlee continues to volunteer in the legal community with Pro Bono Alberta, assisting self-represented litigants with civil matters. Beyond the law, Marlee loves a great fantasy book, walking her dogs, and playing boardgames with friends.
