Sheila practices in all areas of estates, trusts, and capacity litigation. She is recognized as a skilled and tenacious advocate with an ability to unravel complex issues in a practical way, providing effective and budget-conscious legal guidance to her clients. She represents individuals, families, government agencies, financial institutions, and charities in various matters including will disputes, support claims, guardianship, and trust proceedings. Sheila also acts for hospitals in health law matters at the Consent and Capacity Board and at the appellate level.

Active within the legal community, Sheila is frequently invited to speak at and chair diverse continuing education programs. Sheila is also an editor of one of Canada’s leading texts on executors and trustees, and has authored insightful articles on estate planning, holograph will issues, attorney responsibilities, and professional negligence. Her contributions in publications and at legal summits highlight her experience and commitment to delivering valuable insights to the legal community.

Sheila holds key positions on the executives of several Ontario and Canadian Bar Association sections.
