Biography description

Dakota practices in Miller Thomson’s Restructuring & Insolvency Group. He has experience in a wide range of civil litigation matters and has appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta. Dakota also has experience conducting complex corporate commercial transactions, including interprovincial transactions and secured transactions. Dakota provides straight-forward and responsive advice to enable clients to meet their objectives.

Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Dakota articled and worked at a full-service law firm in Edmonton diligently serving clients on a wide range of legal topics. Dakota was fortunate to have significant experience at an early stage working directly with clients to meet their needs, including senior corporate executives and leadership.

As a prospective member of the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL), Dakota aims to learn and contribute to the restructuring and insolvency legal community to better serve his clients. Dakota has also been involved in the Civil Claims Duty Counsel Project through Probono Law Alberta serving self-represented litigants with matters before the Alberta Court of Justice.
