Joel McClarty is a member of Miller Thomson’s business law group and has experience assisting clients with a variety of business law issues, including secured financing, mergers and acquisitions, and shareholder issues. Joel brings a personable, analytical, and engaged approach to his practice to achieve efficient results for his clients.
Joel’s practice includes:
- Mergers and acquisitions: Joel acts for both purchasers and vendors in Canadian private corporation mergers and acquisition transactions.
- Secured financing: Joel acts for borrowers and lenders in corporate finance and mid-market financing transactions.
- Corporate/commercial law: Joel assists with a variety of general corporate issues including unanimous shareholders agreements, corporate governance issues, and re-organizations.
Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Joel articled and practiced with a central Alberta firm working closely with a wide range of clients. Through acting to understand the business and objectives of his clients, Joel worked to achieve the most efficient results to advance his clients’ goals.
