Helder Santos Vieira

Helder Vieira is a lawyer in our Labour and Employment Law team.

Helder represents employers and advises them on various legal issues related to labour and employment law, including labour standards, occupational health and safety, workers’ compensation, pension benefits and pay equity, and helps them analyze, interpret and negotiate collective agreements.

Leveraging insights from a previous career as an actuary, Helder also assists clients in various matters related to pension plans, including their design, management and merger. He provides strategic advice both to employers and pension plan administrators. He also advises management on employment contracts and benefits.

A gifted orator, Helder regularly pleads before the Administrative Labour Court.

Before joining Miller Thomson, he represented various construction companies and worked at another major national firm. His experience at a major Quebec construction association gave him a thorough understanding of the industry and allows him to handle various occupational health and safety and labour relations matters.

Helder serves as vice president and secretary of Événements citoyens, a non-profit organization that organizes events in support of underprivileged communities.
