James Klotz elected Secretary-General of International Bar Association

Miller Thomson congratulates Toronto partner James Klotz upon his election to the office of Secretary-General of the International Bar Association.

A distinguished international business lawyer specializing in the fields of anti-corruption and governance, Jim is only the third Canadian to hold this position within the IBA in the last half century.  He will step into the role having already served for 5 years on the IBA’s Management Board, and after being directly involved with the creation of the International Principles on Conduct for the Legal Profession (ethics), the Guide for Establishing and Maintaining Complaints and Discipline Procedures, and the Anti-Corruption Guidance for Bar Associations through his years of work on the IBA’s Bar Issues Commission.
