Miller Thomson is pleased to announce our former Associate Counsel Grant Sprague Q.C. has been named Deputy Minister of the Alberta Ministry of Energy.
The Deputy Minister is the most senior public servant supporting the Minister and oversees day-to-day operations in carrying out the ministry’s mandate. This is a familiar role for Grant, having served in the position for almost three years before his decision to return to private practice with our firm.
We would like to acknowledge Grant’s many contributions to the firm during his time with Miller Thomson, in particular with our national Environmental and Energy & Natural Resources practices. We wish him every success as he applies his extensive government experience and leadership skills to help advance Alberta’s energy sector.
