In its recently released 2016 year-end Canadian M&A league table rankings*, Bloomberg identified Miller Thomson as one of only four law firms which advised on 100 or more Canadian M&A transactions. Credited with 101 deals in 2016, the firm ranked 3rd overall, reflecting a dramatic jump from 26th position in 2015.
“It is gratifying to see the work of our lawyers showcased in this way,” said Kent Davidson, Miller Thomson’s Chair. “At the centre of what our firm stands for is our commitment to the Canadian market. This ranking reinforces what we and our clients have known all along – that our exceptional pan-Canadian depth and skill put us rightfully in our country’s top tier of M&A leaders.”
“Our strong position on Bloomberg’s league tables is only one part of the ‘good news’ story that Miller Thomson has to tell,” adds Bernard Blouin, head of the firm’s Business Law practice. “We are privileged to be doing excellent work for our clients not only in M&A but across our broad corporate and commercial practices and we continue to focus on growing our capabilities to ensure that our clients’ legal requirements are at all times well-served.”
