On October 13, 2022 at 10:00am, we will be presenting our second webinar, in a series called Principals’ 101,which over the course of the 2022-2023 school year will cover a variety of topics for new school principals and those who would like a refresh.
Our second webinar of the series is Student Discipline, Part 1. We will outline the discipline provisions in the Education Act and provide best practices to assist administrators to understand the investigation process, including what type of evidence to gather, different techniques for interviews, and creating a record of the evidence that can be used to support the implementation of appropriate disciplinary consequences.
We will be following up our October 13, 2022 Morning Recess on November 10, 2022 with Student Discipline, Part 2, applying the mitigating and other factors.
