Mark returns to Miller Thomson as an articling student after completing a summer placement with the firm in 2017. Mark obtained his Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Alberta in 2019. While completing his law degree, Mark was involved in a number of student groups and non-profit organizations such as Student Legal Services, the Edmonton Community Legal Center, the Mental Health and Wellness Committee, the Golden Bearristers rugby team, and Law Show.

Prior to attending law school, Mark obtained his Bachelor of Arts with a major in history from MacEwan University in Edmonton. During his time at MacEwan, Mark volunteered his time with the MacEwan University History Club and at the Alberta Aviation Museum.

Mark has been fortunate to receive multiple academic awards and distinctions, including placement on the Dean’s List, and the Jason Lang scholarship. In 2019, Mark received the Dean Duckett Prize in Insurance Law at the University of Alberta.

In his spare time Mark enjoys reading, playing guitar, swimming, and playing golf.
