Portrait of Anna Kosa

Anna is originally from Vancouver Island, but has called Calgary her home for the last four years. She completed her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2019. During law school, Anna worked as a Research Assistant and wrote a journal article on the legal implications of food insecurity in Canada’s Arctic. In November 2017, she presented her research at the Polar Law Symposium in Rovaniemi, Finland. In 2018, Anna was part of the Davies Corporate/Securities Moot Team, which placed third nationwide at the competition in Toronto.

During law school, Anna was President of Level (a human rights club) and participated in the university’s pro bono program. In her third year, Anna studied abroad for one semester in Graz, Austria.

Prior to law school, Anna earned her BA in International Relations from Colgate University in New York. After completing her undergrad, Anna was an intern with the United Nations in Nepal and then a Communications Coordinator at a non-governmental organization in Cambodia.

In her spare time, Anna enjoys painting, horseback riding and hiking with her dachshunds. On most weekends, you’ll find her engrossed in a good mystery/thriller novel.
