Tim is an experienced construction and commercial litigation lawyer. Tim excels in guiding clients through construction liens, construction trust claims, and construction contract and deficiency disputes. Tim’s strong litigation practice involves business problems, contract cases, shareholder and partnership claims, and negligence court actions. He excels in guiding clients through court proceedings, the litigation process, negotiations, and mediations, while providing strategic advice and solutions. Tim’s extensive experience in courts, administrative tribunals, professional regulation, and arbitrations showcases his leadership in providing services to individuals, businesses, and insurance companies working in the construction, manufacturing, real estate, property, insurance, and franchising spaces, as well as a wide variety of Canadian industries.

As the most senior construction and commercial litigator in the Kitchener-Waterloo office, Tim is a trusted advisor who arranges for and supervises all manner of legal work and projects to help people and businesses across Canada, drawing on Miller Thomson LLP’s national platform and wide range of practice areas.
