Oleh Ilynckyj is a Partner in the Litigation group in the Vancouver office. He practices in the area related to commercial litigation and insurance defence, personal injury claims, product liability, environmental and other general litigation actions. Oleh represents clients at both trial and appellate levels and acts as a mediator on an ongoing basis. He also represents clients involved in proceedings under the British Columbia Class Proceedings Act.
Much of his work involves representing multinational and U.S. corporations and reporting to their in-house or coordinating counsel. These corporations are in the areas of health and medicine, transportation, hospitality and insurance.
Prior to joining the firm, Oleh was counsel and prosecutor for the Department of Justice and acted for the federal government and related agencies.
Oleh believes that his job is to work for and with his clients to obtain fair and cost-effective solutions to their problems.
On Saturday mornings, Oleh will be seen coaching youth soccer in the rain shadow of the North Shore. He is also more than willing to showcase the joys of cycling, running and swimming in Vancouver facilities.
