Nicole’s practice focuses on creditors’ remedies, restructuring and insolvency, and banking and commercial real estate litigation matters. Nicole brings a practical and pragmatic approach to her practice to achieve efficient and effective results for her clients.
Nicole provides advice and counsel in a number of areas including:
Restructuring and insolvency law: acting for secured creditors, court-appointed receivers and trustees, purchasers, and debtors in restructuring and insolvency proceedings and out-of-court arrangements.
Creditor’s remedies: representing clients regarding the enforcement of mortgages, personal property and other types of security, commercial leases and equipment leases including foreclosure actions, construction lien actions, and priority disputes.
Nicole serves on the Empowering Women Leaders Committee of the Canadian Finance and Leasing Association (CFLA). She is a former board member of the Western Canada chapter of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association. She is a frequent speaker on insolvency matters and priority issues.
