Karen Hakim

Karen graduated from the Juris Doctor program at the University of Western Ontario.

During her time at Western, Karen was involved in multiple projects. As a Caseworker and Team Leader at Community Legal Services, she managed client files in the areas of criminal law, family law, civil law and Landlord Tenant Disputes. She was also a Research Assistant in the area of constitutional law and was a volunteer researcher for UN Women. As a Teaching Assistant for a contracts course at Western, Karen provided support to first-year law students by running tutorials on mooting and legal research. In the community, Karen has worked at the London Courthouse as a Court Clerk and Court Reporter. She enjoyed helping members of the community navigate the court system in this role.

In her free time, Karen loves travelling and spending time with her family.
