Tory Hibbitt maintains a diverse and multi-jurisdictional practice which involves representing healthcare professionals, hospitals, and health authorities in a range of disputes, including regulatory matters and civil litigation.  In addition to her litigation practice, Tory is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C), and assists public and private health industry clients to navigate the complexities of relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks, including privacy related matters.

Tory has a varied background in civil litigation, and has appeared or assisted with matters before the Federal Court of Appeal and all levels of Alberta courts.  She has also appeared before tribunals, such as the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta, and the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal.  Drawing on her broad experience, Tory applies her academic bent when conducting in-depth analyses of complex legal issues and advising on strategy.  Whether representing clients in disputes or acting in an advisory capacity, Tory implements a pragmatic, results-driven approach to achieve client objectives.

Tory is actively involved with the Canadian Bar Association. She is past Chair of the National Health Law section, and enjoys mentoring law students and junior lawyers.
