Ashley Hamza

Biography description

Ashley obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2025. Prior to law school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Calgary and a Technical Writing Certificate from Mount Royal University. Before commencing her legal career, Ashley worked as a technical writer and editor, and held a management position at a homeowners association in Calgary.

Ashley was actively involved in the law school community. She worked on the Newcomers Project for Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) and served as a caseworker for Student Legal Assistance (SLA). Ashley also volunteered as a copy editor for the student magazine, The Moot Times, and held the roles of VP Events and VP Communications for OUTLaw.

In her spare time, Ashley enjoys running, hiking, reading, writing, and spending time with her family.
