Hannah Rich

Decision Making and Parenting Time: Hannah acts for parents in disputes concerning major decision making for their children (i.e. extracurricular activities, major medical decisions, religion, and school choice) and in disputes about determining parenting time schedules in a child’s best interests.

Child and Spousal Support: Hannah acts for spouses and parents in assessing appropriate support that is owing or owed, including assessing complex income issues and imputation of income.

Complex Property and Equalization: Hannah seeks appropriate relief related to property issues, including obtaining expert reports where required, addressing issues related to the matrimonial home, and dealing with matters that touch upon other areas of the law, including corporate, tax, and estates.

Domestic Contracts: Hannah drafts cohabitation, marriage, and separation agreements.
Hannah has also worked on matters concerning international family law, mobility, obtaining disclosure, costs awards, and a myriad of other areas.

Hannah has obtained her Certificate in Family Law Skills and Practice through Osgoode Professional Development in December 2020.

Before joining Miller Thomson, Hannah articled and summered at the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, where she represented child-clients in high conflict custody and access disputes and worked on some of the leading recent family law decisions. She also worked as a caseworker at the Queen’s University Family Law Clinic to assist low income self-represented litigants with navigating the Family Court system. Before attending law school, Hannah was a certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers.
