Biography description
Jade is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. Before commencing law school, she completed three years of a Bachelor of Commerce degree at MacEwan University and subsequently received accelerated admission to the Faculty of Law.
Before returning to her studies, Jade spent over 10 years as an entrepreneur, owning and operating a successful wedding photography business. She also worked in the energy sector in Fort McMurray, where she gained significant experience in project coordination and data management on large-scale construction projects.
During law school, Jade has served as President of Law Students for Human Rights, where she founded an annual clothing drive supporting Edmonton’s unhoused community. She also serves as External Chair of the Student Articling Committee, through which she played a key role in organizing Career Day 2025, and was a semi‑finalist in the 2025 Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin Moot Competition.
Jade is an active volunteer in her community and serves as the Vice-President and Director of a non-profit volleyball club, and as an assistant coach for a girl’s youth volleyball team.
In her spare time, Jade enjoys golf, snowboarding, paddle-boarding, and spending time with her husband and two children.
