Miller Thomson Kitchener-Waterloo lawyers “ride for Dad »

Lawyers from Miller Thomson’s Kitchener-Waterloo office participated in the Telus Grand River Ride for Dad on Saturday, June 6, 2015 to help raise funds for prostate cancer research.

Helen D.K. Friedman and Nick de Koning, Partners in the Kitchener-Waterloo office, took to the city streets in the charity motorcycle ride, now in its 15th  year.

They joined Waterloo Region Police Chief Bryan Larkin and former CTV newsman Dave MacDonald in the high-profile event, which was kicked off by speeches from Waterloo Mayor Dave Jaworsky and Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic.

Close to 800 riders turned out for the parade that toured through some of the most scenic countryside in Waterloo Region, Wellington County and Brant County.

The ride raised more than $100,000, which will be donated to support cancer research at local hospitals in Waterloo Region.
