Miller Thomson lawyers were well represented at the STEP Canada 14th National Conference, held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on June 11 and June 12, 2012.

Rachel Blumenfeld was the co-chair of the conference that focused on the latest developments in trust and estate practice, tax, trust law, trust administration, insurance and financial planning.

Miller Thomson lawyers were part of several panel discussions, including:

  • Robert Hayhoe, from the Charity and Not-For-Profit Group, who participated in a panel discussion on “Charity and Not-For-Profit Update.” Rachel Blumenfeld moderated the discussion;
  • Sandra Enticknap from the Private Client Services Group was part of a panel discussion on “Litigation, Compensation, Financial Obligation “;
  • David Chodikoff from the Tax Group was a panellist on “Practical Approach to Comment Practice Management Issues: An Interdisciplinary Approach.”

Miller Thomson on Estate Planning was also debuted at the conference.
