Shetal Jas is an Associate in Miller Thomson’s Real Estate and Financial Services groups. She maintains a mixed practice in both areas.

In her Real Estate practice, she advises on numerous commercial and residential real estate transactions ranging from condominium developments, acquisition and sale of properties and due diligence reviews. She has experience working in commercial leasing, focusing on office, industrial and retail properties and drafting and interpreting bylaws of condominiums. Shetal also works on general corporate and financing matters related to commercial real estate.

Her Financial Services practice covers all aspects of corporate finance, with an emphasis on mid-market financing transactions and regulatory matters. She works for lenders and borrowers in domestic and international financing transactions ranging from real estate to asset based lending and financial restructuring. She has experience working with financial institutions on regulatory and compliance issues for new financial products. Her practice also includes advising lenders on security reviews and corporate arrangements.

Shetal completed her LL.M in Financial Law at Osgoode Hall Law School (York University) in 2022. She joined Miller Thomson as an articling student. Prior to joining the firm she completed her LL.B and Bachelor of Arts at the University of Technology, Sydney, in Australia. Shetal was called to the Alberta Bar in 2019.
